Autopay
What is autopay?
Autopay is a feature in PayHOA’s management software that enables homeowners in participating associations the option to set up recurring payments for HOA dues and fees either by credit card, debit card, or directly from a checking account. After PayHOA software generates and sends invoices to HOA members, autopay communicates the amount due to the bank or card issuer. This conveys payment to the homeowner association, saving time and work for the HOA and its participating members. Autopay activates only after an HOA member opts in to the service and can be discontinued by an easy opt-out action.
Why is autopay important for HOA portals?
Homeowners opting in for PayHOA’s autopay service get a recurring online invoice from their HOA for fees and dues, and payment is automatically made, without further action on the homeowners’ part, from their bank account or credit/debit card. They further benefit by eliminating the risk of lost or mail-delayed checks and the inconvenience and late fees that result. Homeowners protect themselves from erroneous overcharges by setting a recurring maximum payment.
Homeowner association board members find autopay another one of PayHOA’s boons to their efforts. Opt-ins to autopay reduce the time spent handling snail mail, doing data entry, and making in-person bank deposits. A further benefit to the association at large is that autopay ensures timely payments from its members.
How can you use “autopay” in a sentence?
PayHOA’s autopay feature gives HOA members a “set it and forget it” way to take care of fees and dues each month.
